Despite Mississippi having a supermajority of Republicans in both the House and the Senate, Lt Governor Delbert Hosemann appointed 13 out of 16 Senate Democrats to powerful committee chairmanships, leaving 9 Republican senators with no chair assignments at all.

RINO
REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY

Lt Governor Hosemann claims to be a Republican, but in his 4-year term as a state leader, he has killed the most important Republican bills in the Senate!  Delbert Hosemann is a Republican In Name Only (RINO)!

Conservative efforts blocked by Delbert Hosemann include Religious Exemptions to vaccine mandates, improvement of voter ID laws, elimination of state income tax, and protections of 2nd Amendment rights.

According to The American Family Association’s iVoterGuide , Delbert Hosemann is a moderate and Senator Chris McDaniel is a true conservative, reflective of Mississippi values.

HOSEMANN
SUPPORTED VACCINE MANDATES AND
KILLED RELIGIOUS EXEMPTIONS

During Covid-19, Hosemann killed an amendment proposed by Sen Chris McDaniel that would have provided a Religious Exemption for all Mississippians, regardless of age.

Mississippi parents gathered almost 13,000 petition signatures in less than 5 days. They plead with Hosemann to pass a religious exemption to vaccine mandates He ignored them.

Hosemann repeatedly killed Religious Exemption bills authored by Senator Angela Hill, Senator Jenifer Branning, and Senator Chris McDaniel.

He killed every Religious Exemption that came before him.

SENATOR CHRIS MCDANIEL ADDRESSES THE SENATE AFTER HOSEMANN KILLS RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION AMENDMENT TO HB1509 TO BAN COVID VACCINE MANDATES FOR STATE INSTITUTIONS.

HOSEMANN SERVED ON THE BOARD OF AN ABORTION CLINIC

Delbert claims to be pro-life. However, Delbert Hosemann was on the board of the infamous for-profit South Jackson Women’s Clinic, where thousands of Mississippi babies were aborted.

TRUMP BACKSTABBER

Hosemann refused to clean up our voting system and support voter ID reform, telling President Trump to ”Go jump in the Gulf.”

“Hosemann, a Republican who did not endorse Trump during the presidential campaign, said his office has not yet received a letter from the administration. But he said when he does receive one, he will reject it outright. Hosemann is the one of the first Republican secretaries of state in the country to publicly reject the commission’s request, joining several Democratic colleagues in bucking the request.

“They can go jump in the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi is a great state to launch from,” Hosemann said in a statement on Friday. “Mississippi residents should celebrate Independence Day and our state’s right to protect the privacy of our citizens by conducting our own electoral processes.””
